BAJ Financial Management was established in 2018. With extensive experience being a trusted business adviser to senior management and business owners from within organisations, Brett recognised a gap in the services being provided by many small accounting firms to their small/medium business clients.

Many accounting firms are heavily weighted towards compliance (ie preparing accounts, tax returns, etc). Very few accounting practices were helping their clients in ways that truely supports the growth and success of the small business, such as business strategy, goal setting, performance management/reporting, analysis of profit drivers, decision making support, use of technology, streamlining business processes. These are critical enablers of growing revenue and reducing cost.

Brett has an extensive range of experience and qualifications and his passion for helping businesses find ways to grow profit uniquely positions him to support clients to achieve their personal and business goals.

Starting his career at PwC working in areas of corporate tax and business services, Brett progressed to work in executive finance roles in large corporates and more recently in entrepreneurial start-ups and small business. The common thread through Brett’s experience has been to support business owners/managers to identify or create innovative ways of growing profit.

Supplimenting this experience throughout his career has been Brett’s keen focus on continual learning, including degrees in Economics and Law, becoming a Chartered Accountant while at PwC and an Executive MBA (Master of Business Administration) at AGSM. Brett is also a registered tax agent, has completed his CPA and is a certified Xero Advisor.

Clients of BAJ Financial Management are also supported by BAJFM’s network of carefully selected professionals that allows clients to access areas of specialised expertise, as required.
